• Inventory: 8/7/07 - Currently in progress.
• Binh, Arin, and Olga are comaring equipment inventory lists with equipment and updating inventory/surplus lists.
• Dave Burnett was awarded for summer work and is now assisting in the inventory project. His job is to collect overhead projectors and video equipment slated for surpus and updating overhead list.
• eBook archive conversion project: Arina, Olga, and Binh have completed the project as of 8/1/07. The converted web files were burned to CD and turned over to Tamera.
• Conversion of vinyl records to CD's: This project is currently on hold. Work was progressing on schedule until we had a temporary set back. It seems our newly installed powerpole was connected to an existing electrical circuit that is carrying a full load. Therefore when we plugged in our conversion equipment, an electral overload occured and resulted in our equipment catching on fire. We are currently looking into other options. One may be the purchase of a turntable with digital outputs that would allow us to convert vinyl to mp3's.
• New service scheme: I am looking into new services we can provide for staff and students in the future that will bring our equipment in line with modern technology. Therefore, this summer we will be removing outdated equipment from our collection.
